Langhe and Roero

Alba, the main town of the area and the “homeland” of the world-famous Italian chocolate spread, Nutella, is almost at the centre of the Roero and Langhe area. Every October the famous Truffle Fair is held here. The pleasant atmosphere of the fair is very special. The precious truffle can be bought from the truffle pickers, known locally as "trifulau".

World-famous wines such as Barolo, Barbaresco and Nebbiolo are produced in parts of this hilly region. 

There is no better place to appreciate the gentleness of a natural environment and excellent foods than this natural oasis, suspended in time.
